Bryce Dallas Howard was born in Los Angeles, California on March 2, 1981.
Bryce is the daughter of the famous actor/director, Ron Howard and the actress Cheryl Howard. You may think she has good genes to make it in hollywood but the acting background of her family doesn't stop there. Her Uncle (Clint Howard), Grandfather ( Rance Howard) and GrandMother (Jean Speegle-Howard) were all working thespians.
Bryce married her long time boyfriend, actor Seth Gabel, in 2006 and announced in August that she was expecting her first child. They met while attending New York University and had been together about five years before walking down the aisle.
DID YOU KNOW? - Basketball and writing are some of Bryce Dallas Howard's hobbies.
Bryce grew up in Greenwhich, Connecticut with her three siblings. The elder Howard's did not want thier children growing up in Hollywood and kept the kids far away from the glitz and glamour. I guess Ron had a little experience with the childhood star life and decided it wasn't the best.
There's a good educational background behind Bryce and it shows a desire to be taken serious. She attended Greenwich Country Day School prior to roaming the halls of Byram Hills High School in Armonk, New York. Bryce later attendend Steppenwolf School and Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Camp, both of which are high powered star making machines. She also spent time at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the Tisch School of Arts at New York University. Graduating from the later with a BFA in Drama in 2003.
Broadway started the career of young Bryce Dallas, as she was known in some circles. Not wanting the special treatment that would come with the famous last name..
Bryce later "starred" as an extra in a few of her fathers movies and made her debut as a lead actress in two M. Night Shyamalan's movies: The Village and Lady in the Water. He cast her without an audition based on her performances in Broadway plays.
DID YOU KNOW? - Bryce is a vegan and was turned on to the lifestyle by Joaquin Phoenix when he had her watch the animal cruelty documentary, Earthlings.
The next big thing in Bryce Dallas Howard's future is the huge role in Spiderman 3 as news reporter, Gwen Stacy. This film is due out in 2007 and should propel the red headed phenom into stardom.
